Alright, that's it -- I'm creating a Random EU Thoughts Thread.
I hope you're happy now, Frink.
Quite!
Seeing as his post didn't fit either of the Like/Hate EU threads I'd say it fit here. But that's just like, my opinion man.
If the "start a new topic" button was broken, I'd agree with you.
There's no way that warranted a new thread. Clearly the solution here is for you to add a NO EU rule in the first post. And or see someone about this irrational prejudice of yours. =P

Then don't post in it if you don't like it so much.
*throws toys out of pram*
So, one can't post a photo of someone dressed as an EU character in here now?
Where were you in '77?
That's not a discussion ;-)
I would like to discuss this hypothetical cosplayer.
What motivated them, why did this character inspire so much work to be put into a costume? Just how authentic is this costume anyway? Are they resentful about the Legends decision?

They love the character or at least the look conveyed by drawings of the character

Define "authentic"
Are they resentful about the Legends decision?
Absolutely
Has anyone here seen any of those Lego Star Wars animation shows? Are they any good, the games were fun at least?
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
They seem to have a healthy sense of humor. In the one I saw, Vader is chased around by screaming fangirls after the Rebels show them a picture of Hayden's Anakin.
Speaking of animated Star Wars, the "rights and clearances" credit on TCW and Rebels confuses me. What on earth has to be cleared to use in a Star Wars show? It's not like they use top 40 songs or anything.

I think John Williams might retain some rights to his music. At least I believe I've heard something along those lines in the past.
Yeah, that's been one of the reasons why LucasArts has cease-and-desisted fan-made remastered releases of its Star Wars and Indiana Jones video game MIDI soundtracks.
But, thankfully, LucasArts was nice enough to let fans remaster the soundtracks for its own original games without interference.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

^Judging by his expression, if he is suffering in there, it's turning him on. O_o
I believe that was a fan made piece that George saw and got a kick out of. So the guy that made it donated it to Lucasfilm.
Wonder what George thought of his own likeness in carbonite? ;)

They are a LOT of fun, and even have their own goofy little continuity if you watch the three specials, then the Yoda Chronicles.

Charles de Lauzirika at ILM? Time to start those rumours about a kick-ass Blu-ray Saga Boxset in the making ;-)
Or maybe he's doing the Force Awakens BD??
The better half is not at work at the moment so I have been compelled to join a gym rather than do my exercises in earshot of him. I couldn't help but notice the name of one of the personal trainers down there.
Mark Hammil.
Almost a Jedi master.
I see what everyone did with the new threads there.
So I just watched Celebrity-Pointless and one of the rounds was Star Wars. The answers were...
Chewbacca = 44
Hayden Christensen = 11
Blue Harvest = 2
Lightsabre* = 59
Carrie Fisher = 41
...make of that what you will.
(* That's how they spelled it)
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
That's been a common misspelling since the beginning. What do the numbers mean?

'Pointless' is a superb quiz show about coming up with the most obscure answer, to a question that 100 people are given. So only 11/100 people had heard of the star of the prequels. A minor LOL.
