5 percent is only high when you compare it to light beer. Most people don't realize that normal budweiser is actually considered light beer. Standard beers usually have between 6 and 7 percent alcohol. Budweiser black crown lager has 6, miller fortune has 6.9, natty light (nasty shit) has 5.9. 5 percent and below is the standard for light beer.
