Idea: 'Toy Story' preservation/restoration - original logo with the original music?

Hello.

I was wondering if anyone has thought of restoring the original logo with the original music in front of Toy Story, so as to have an HD version as presented in theaters.

That change totally disappointed me, as the music is an intergral part of the beginning of the film, and it was not just a logo which you can delete without affecting the film. The logo and the music IS part of the film (in this specific situation)!

I’m searching for months to find an HDTV version of the film I know exists, to see if the logo is deleted there too, but it’s no use.

One of my very biggest pet peeves when studios rerelease films is the changing of the opening logos at the beginning of the film.  Wish I could help with the HDTV thing... couldn't find an HDTV rip anywhere just yet.  Sorry!

Found this on YouTube... The opening of the 2000 DVD.  Has the original logo for the start of the film (toward the tail end of the clip here).

Perhaps our best bet at this point would be to take the 2000 DVD and do an HD upscaling.

That hdtv capture doesn't have the Walt Disney logo in the beginning.

Plastering.

Ugh.

Yep i'm sure, i downloaded the first part of it. It starts with "This Film Has Been Modified"..and so on, then shows the clouds in the sky wallpaper but no logo before it.

I recently found that HDTV version (wondering if it was a different one) and it also has an ABC logo in the bottom left-hand corner through most of the film.

Were there any alterations done on Toy Story 2?

The logo was again replaced, but it’s not as noticeable as it doesn’t cut a freaking music cue in half.
