I have R1(raw) rendered out. The H.264 encoder in [an-excellent-program]* only allows a max bitrate of 32767 Kbps (2^15-1), but it looks pretty good on my monitor and weighs-in at ~8GiB. There are four reels in total; five if you consider that there's an alternate scan of R4.

I can release it as-is, but the colors are off and it's uncropped. Poita, et al. tried to calibrate to the Kodak LAD card, but that screws things up even further, so we're trying to work out something now that can get us really close to what's actually represented on the film. Thankfully, he has the film to compare the scan to, so the color work is in good hands.

The big question now is: Should I just release it raw or should I wait for color correction to come down the pipeline?

The HDD->HDD clone is and always will be an option, of course.
