Well, as it will be released on a BD-25, "only" 23GB are available for video+audio... a 154min DST-ES track will be around 1.7GB... quite a lot IMHO for a track that will be probably the same as the Cinema DTS... we'll see!

Here I am!

Soon I'll finish my actual project, and I'm thinking which project should be the next... is still some interest in this?

Should I use the Cinema DTS, DVD DTS ES or BOTH?!?

Interest is still here. It is one of my Favorite Films.  I hope for it being BD-25.

I say both., that DTS ES mix is unique and is worth preserving.

Is the Cinema DTS track the only source for the original theatrical mix? Is what appears on the Blu-ray a near field mix?

“That’s impossible, even for a computer!”

“You don't do ‘Star Wars’ in Dobly.”

I agree!  I believe that the audio heard in the cinemas was a DTS-ES mix as well, but I could totally be wrong on that.

I haven't actually watched the blu so I have no idea what that audio sounds like, but I would assume that it is indeed a near field mix.  The DTS-ES mix on the original DVD is an aggressive near field mix (but not too over the top, IMO) and is most definitely demo worthy.

I wonder if the audio from the blu is simply a high-resolution version of the DTS-ES mix from that DVD... or if they did another remix.

March 2015... Has there been any progress since then? :) I must say that the open matte of this sounds rather attractive. :)

Too many project, too limited time, too lazy to do everything... (^^,)

But it will be done... probably later than sooner, though...
