I told him that it was the law for me to be given breaks every so many hours of work with a lunch. He told me it didn't apply to me, because I was on contract. What is interesting was that a box for lunch was left empty on my time log, so I supposedly was allowed to get one.

The job is in Texas, and I think they probably get away with a lot of that shit, because our workforce isn't Texas workers, it's immigrant labor. I have nothing against our immigrant workforce, I find it ironic that the same people condemning them, are the ones who exploit them. The owner did say he had several businesses before including a lawn-care service and maid service. So I have a grasp on what kind of people he has under him.

I have no issues with hard work. I applied for the job, because it was physical.

Maybe I'll find my rhythm in life, right now I'm just taking chances and making a lot of bad decisions. My 20's are ebbing away pretty quick.

See this is the big problem with people just being allowed to cross the border and work off of the books, they not only hurt themselves but every other worker in America.  All the progress that has been made for workers since the end of the slave trade is being undone because businesses can just hire illegal immigrants. We are being returned to serfdom, pretty soon America is going to be a third world country where a few rich people work everyone else to death in labor camps.  There is no way to stop this as long as the border remains open or we let these people remain here and yet not have the same rights as everyone else.

The only solutions I can see to this problem are either make the penalty for knowingly hiring an illegal life in prison without parole so businesses will not risk it any more.

Shut down the border so the labor force that is undercutting the rights of our own citizens dries up(by the way many countries in Europe do this as does China, Canada, and even Mexico so if they complain or call us racist it is the pot calling the kettle black)and companies are forced to respect the basic human rights of their workers again.

Or pass a new law that declares that anyone who lives in the United States for more then a year becomes a citizen without having to file any paper work and these people then not only have to report their income and pay taxes to support the government like the rest of us but they have all of the rights the rest of us have too so they can no longer be exploited and used as a way to get around the basic legal rights of the work force of this country.

If something is not done soon this whole country will just become one giant slave labor camp where no one except a few people who are born rich will be allowed to do anything other then work 24/7 without rest or food until they drop dead in the gutter.

Right now in the United States there is no such thing as even the most basic human rights being respected, this has to change.
