Wow.

They just released a second teaser.

It's....wow.

Or even better the full trailer.

Looks like they might really reveal who Fulcrum is, which will finally see whether the rumors were true.

Also, cool to see Mustafar in an OT Mcquarrie inspired show.  This episode might be a simple, but quality reference for what I should make Mustafar look like in my PT regrade.

I am hoping the season finale is not full of prequelisms.

Are these shows animated in 16:9 where i live they are never broadcast ever in 2:40:1.

They're animated in 2.35:1 but broadcast in 16:9. The blu-ray, DVD and Netflix/other streaming services all get the full 2.35:1 later.

Is that confirmed, or are we just speculating because that's what they did with The Clone Wars? The iTunes releases are all 16:9...

Yeah the Rebels premiere movie out on DVD was 2.35:1.

Are there are screencaps for this (I honestly have yet to see anything about Rebels being 2:35:1, though I guessed it would be for the full season release)

I knew I should have taken a picture of the back of the case when I was at Target. =P

That was one hell of a season finale.  Hard to believe how the show started versus what it is now.  This really felt like classic Star Wars, with some PT flair but only elements.  Plus, the final minute... even if expected, still mind blowing.  Damn.

Totally agree rpvee. I've been underwhelmed so far, but this gives me hope for the 2nd season. I was completely unspoiled, so I was in total shock at who we saw! It was great on both appearances.

Disappointed with the lack of JEJ, but enjoyed the finale overall. I was hoping a major character would die, and I wonder if Vader is going to replace the Inquisitor in season 2. I don't mind the Clone Wars character popping up, though it didn't really feel germane to anything. Perhaps Vader will kill her; that'd be interesting.

I appreciated the nod by showing Tarkin surviving the attack by evacuating.

Gee, how is that not a spoiler? >_<

The final was really great.  Not going to spoil but its the best Star Wars content we've seen in so very long.

Almost tempted to get the full season on blu ray since the 1st season has such a nice arc to it.

Well it finally showed up (I don't get it, they've routinely posted episodes online anywhere from a day to a week early, but for this it's a day late?), and I watched it.

And it was fantastic! Wow, I actually really love this show!

Man! The opening was over the top cartoony but after that it was firing on all repulsors! This series is going places and I can't wait for season two! Definitely looking forward to catching the first ep at Celebration!

Oh, and looks like someone called it:

Sounds like Lucasfilm and its Story Group are the ones calling the shots to me.

As for how the show has been going so far. It seems plain to me that these first episodes are all about introducing you to the characters, who they are and what drives them:

  • Spark of Rebellion introduced Ezra and we got to meet the rest of the crew through his eyes.
  • Droids in Distress setup a connection between our motley crew and one of the more famous founders of the Rebel Alliance. Expect this to pay off way later.
  • Fighter Flight was about the dynamic between Ezra, Zeb and Chopper.
  • Rise of the Old Masters touched on Kanan and his insecurities about his ability to train others. As well as introducing the Inquisitor.
  • Breaking Ranks introduced another future series regular and revealed some of what the Inquisitor has been up to.
  • Out of Darkness reveals some of Sabine's past and her reservations about what they're doing.

This first season is all about setup. Setting up who the characters are and where they're going. By season two with introductions out of the way they can plow straight forward and focus on paying off everything that they setup before.

Oh, the reveal of the "new" characters was great :) I love it and I can't wait for season 2. And I originally hated the show :)

Could someone link me to the Youtube episodes? Apparently HotRod found them all there, but I've had no luck doing so. Maybe they aren't available from Canada.

Here.  This works just as well.

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

Is that a legit source? We shouldn't link to obvious pirated content.

Of course it needs credit card confirmation...I'll have to see if my dad will let me use his. Is it wise to give these kinds of sites credit card numbers?
