I thought this was interesting, over at Hoffman Forums, one of the regulars was talking about a Robert Wise "final cut"of MOTION PICTURE that was actually completed way back then, (and shorter than any other cut) but never saw the light of day. Do we know anything more about this? They're discussing the movie on HTF now but I don't have my email to log in there anymore. (scroll down to comment from "Vidiot")
