Congratulations Harmy !
My dream is that you'll end up working on the official Original Trilogy release...
Who knows.
That is awesome - I knew that your work on the DE would eventually catch the attention of a well-connected fan. It was your destiny! Hopefully they won't make you work on a 4K PT release :)

This is great news!
This project is reminding me more and more of the restoration done to classic Doctor Who episodes and that is a good thing.
Congratulations! I knew your great work would have to catch someone's eye. You deserved it!
What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.
I'm speechless! Congratulations, Harmy!
Erik Pancakes, I got you beat. My speed tests say "5.46 down - 0.40 up".
Congrats to you, Harmy. Well deserved!
“Evacuate ...in our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.”
Congrats, Harmy!
Not sure if anyone saw this yet...

Holy shit, congrats dude.
Have fun at your new job Harmy, you earned it.
Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…
Congrats, Harmy! You certainly deserve it.

Wow, Harmy! That's incredible news! None more deserving.
Keep Circulating the Tapes.

Harmy, thanks for letting us know about your success! I know this is only the beginning for you. The passion and effort that you've put into Star Wars is something that is going to keep coming back to you throughout your life.
Congrats!
In other good news, I think I might as well mention here that I've got some trial software that handles all the audio tracks in a menu! Successfully tested and functional! All 21! Used the "Harmy intro 1" clip (where it says "harmyfilm restoration") as intro, as well as for menus, as it forces need for audio/video track there and then just silenced the track so it's a static menu, with the clip hidden behind image clipped from the cover art. Not that interested in a "motion menu" anyway.
Pita to do, but I'm happy with results. A few more tweaks, and hopefully a popup subtitles menu, using threepio's .sup files intead of the .srt's, and I think it's a "done deal". Can swap a few parts out, but I'm not sure I want to rebuild that audio menu, lol. In any case, thought I'd share the news here, and welcome your thoughts, Harmy. Would that clip be a good intro, or did you have another in mind? Menu art is also easy to swap out.
Not quite ready to share any of it until at least a few changes, but it's 99% ready for action. My hope is that its well liked enough, and can be "out there" at some point in near future. Want to be able to make it somewhat consistent for the other 2 releases though, so I'll take however long, as there isn't a huge rush, and we all want something "nice" :)
Wow, Harmy! I'm so happy to see this. Good luck in all your future endeavors!
@analog: Sounds great. Would it be possible to put a simple looping video in the background of the main menu?
@everyone: thanks for all the well wishes and if there's anyone here who's a financial expert, I could use some advice on the best way to be employed by a US company in an EU country.
Congratulations, Harmy! Very well deserved - you've earned it.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
Yes, it seems to prefer a video ;)
One challenge I ran into initially was that I did graphics for 1080, but with 720 clip underneath, it cropped the menu.. Ended up re-encoding the clip to 1080 instead of rebuilding all the menu elements.
If you have that same intro at that resolution, or, can encode it at that, I'm sure it'd be better than the converter I used. That, or I can rebuild the menus to be @ 720 size for the project. Was really a version .01 kind of thing anyway to see if it was possible. ...was excited to be able to do it at all, and see that it actually worked as intended.
I should clarify.. It doesn't matter if the intro is at 720. The menu issue I had, was due to using the same clip just to have something there to satisfy the requirement of a motion menu...
At this point, it's probably best if I start from scratch with a chosen clip in background. Each menu can have different clips, as well.
The only other issue was that I couldn't add scene markers with this software, but if it's possible to use tsmuxer *after the project to insert them and have it work, it may still be possible to be able to skip via "next" button on playback. Something about the frame rate it didn't like, which is odd.
Edit: Also, used a font called "Star Jedi" for the menu text. Open to suggestions, as well as input on layout preference. 21 audio selections fills up a screen. Not sure if I prefer that, or two screens, but it can all fit in one. Subtitles, I will probably just do one popup menu for.
I'm very happy for you Harmy! And I hope you find a decent accountant to get advice from. :)

I'm visiting ny folks, so I'm on my phone now and don't have access to my pc. I will email you when I get back home (later today) and we can work out the details. I hope I can still find the project files for that background video I created a while ago.
The future is looking very bright for you, Harmy... and no one deserves it more. Rock on, man.
FWIW, regarding the Blu-ray, Project Threepio is big enough that including all of the subtitles, plus multiple lossless tracks, may put you over the 8Mbps Blu-ray limit for non-video data and cause bad player behavior. Just something to keep your eye out for. I used to include 5 lossless tracks (and a bunch of lossy tracks) with my personal Blu-rays and that finally sent it over with the most recent versions, so I cut it back to 1 lossless track and lossy versions of the same other tracks--you could also obviously opt to exclude some subtitle languages too. I never did the calculations to figure out what the actual safe values were.
Is it possible to add DVD quality subs to BD?
