Darn ever changing internet. There used to be a site that did a shot by shot break down of every single change in the Remastered episodes. Can't find it anymore.

There are side by side videos on youtube.

Oh sure there are sites and videos that show the big things. But I'm saying there was a site at one time that covered every change and the reasonings behind them. That site I can't find anymore.

TrekMovie always had an overview. But yes, the phasers weren't redone because they never had clean plates to work from since they didn't have the original negatives, just the original final edit on film.

CBS' original plan was only to replace the space shots. Every other change took begging & justification on Dave Rossi & the Okuda's part.

We need to have him back, but 60 episodes ago we talked to Rossi on our TOS podcast about Remastered and how they did it: http://www.trek.fm/standard-orbit/6

startrek.com used to have detailed breakdown of all the changed scenes in the good old times before it started to suck

I debated with myself whether or not to post these following pictures in the all-purpose art thread, but seeing as no one other than myself ever seems to visit there anymore, I decided to display them here.

Basically, they're all Starfleet/Terran Empire uniforms I've designed for the Star Trek reboot I'm putting together. They range from the Pike years all the way through to the time of the Dominion War.

I like them.  One question are they all female uniforms or are they all just designed for Shatner on the days he forgets his girdle?

Don't they have a good list of those at Memory Alpha?

LOL. I ended up using a female template for them all because I couldn't find a decent male one. All uniforms (the ones without skirts, that is) are meant to be unisexual.

Watched ST:TMP last night.

Kirk really doesn't do much in that movie. Besides be kinda a dick.

In nine other movies, and hundreds of episodes of TV, the merged VGer/Dekker entity never came back? What a waste!

I'm sure Abramstrek will cough up its own lousy version one of these days, especially since it and the Prime Universe ostensibly share a common past where Voyager 6 fell into a black hole and was transported to Droid World.

They evolved beyond us, why would they ever want to come back to visit? ;-)

If you're going to complain about that, how about any of the other omnipotent/super-advanced races any of the crews ran into (First Federation, Organians, etc.)

I just meant as a story line. It would have been cool to see Dekker or the Ilia-bot again during TNG.

There are so many omnipotent being in the Star Trek world, I'm surprised they never had a giant Space-God Royal Rumble.

The more I read about Roddenberry, the less I like about him, both as a creator/showrunner and as a person.

Does the same go for Lucas? Does that explain your avatar?

When it comes down to their draconian control over their respective franchises, I do consider them two sides of the same coin, yes. Lucas comes off as a far more appealing personality than Roddenberry in all other regards, though.
