Why does our society glorify sex? Further, why is the abuse of women so popular that Hollywood has to release a BDSM pornographic movie and rate it only R?
I haven't read the book, so I'm basing my opinion on wikipedia.
From what I'm reading in the plot synopsys, it sounds really stupid. It sounds like bad fanfiction one would write..

OH.
oh.
Well, obviously the movie is being made because they know people horny housewives will go see it. Just like when "Sex and the city" came out. "Oh, look girls, we're outrageous! We're kinky!" PLEEAZE. Stop it.
What bothers me is that dimestore trash like this is being read by women, and it's being passed off as literature. Not only that, apparently it perpetrates a distorted view of BDSM relationships, which bothers me as any act that would perpetuate ignorance would.
I think you're confusing kinky sex with assholes beating up women.DrCrowTStarwars wrote:
I have seen women repeatedly refuse to file charges against men who beat them because they think that proves how much he loves them and that they shouldn't have questioned "the man".
This stuff having female fans doesn't really prove anything.
