That part I don't believe I was aware of.

How exactly are you "killing" something when you take an apple off a tree?? The tree is still alive, and the apple is no more alive, by conventional definitions, whether you pluck it or it falls off on its own.

So, I guess if I tied off one of my own fingers, let it shrivel and fall off, I could then feed it to a vegan??
