Shout Factory did Amityville 3-D as part of a box set, so it's not impossible. That had the benefits of being part of a horror franchise though.
Sadly Shout botched the Amityville 3D release. It's pretty spectacular overall, but they used an unfinished, botched open titles sequence that doesn't work properly in 3D, which is why they re-did the opening titles for the theatrical release. The print Shout used must have been from a near-release print. It is also missing one 3D visual effect (an insect flying out of the screen). Shout also didn't bother to hire somebody to see that the transfer is aligned properly, so there is some vertical alignment issues throughout. It still looks pretty great though.
