It doesn't say as far as I can see. I have the xvid, yes full of compression artifacts.
Sometimes you can tell from the artifacts if a dvd has been 'shrunk', if the blocks kinda go on and off - hard to describe maybe but pretty easy to spot once you're looking for it.
