All this talk on tv today about how people like their balls, (hard vs. soft) and not one newscaster cracks up? What is the world coming to? ;)

Where were you in '77?

Yeah how dare he practice his faith in public, these Christians need to be stamped out and I think I know just the way to do it.  How about we arrest them all, we then fill a football stadium with dangerous wild animals like say lions, and then we force the Christians in to the stadium to be killed by the wild animals, that will teach them.  We could even sell tickets for people to watch the event so it would create jobs and generate taxes for the government, it's a win win.

Don't be a moron, that's so obviously not what he meant that I question your reading comprehension if you honestly think it was.  I think you're just trying to get a rise out of people for attention.

Personally I think the owners and couches should be kicked out, the players should be banned for life, and the team it's self should be banned from playing at all next season. That way no one will ever try this a again and if they do the players will report it right away.

We don't have those sorts of luxuries up here in Canada. Are they available to anyone, or are only privileged guests allowed to recline on them?

There's a difference between practicing your faith in public and praising a god for helping you win a football game.

thanking God for one's successes in life is part of practicing one's faith in public.  It is a way of saying "without God, I am nothing".

So if this isn't about his faith then I take it you would be just as incensed if he said he wouldn't have won the game with out the support of his gay lover?

You have made it very clear with your posts that you don't think anyone should be allowed to practice any faith.

Hey I think I have found a final solution to the religious people practicing their faith in public question that you will love.  We round them up, put them to work in camps, and then when they can't work any more we send them into chambers filled with gas.  I know this may sound extreme to so people but I think it is worth it so you don't have to risk ever seeing one of them practice their faith in public.  I mean the only other way to get this result would be for you to change the channel while watching Tv and not click on videos of people practicing their faith in public and that is clearly too much to ask so this is the best solution to the problem.

After all these are nothing but stupid religious nut jobs who are not as smart or enlightened as you, they shouldn't even count as members of the human race, so they have no rights and the world will be better off once it is cleansed of their filth and only the pure who think 100% like you are left in the gene pool.

That's not what he's saying, and you know it. You sound completely idiotic right now.  Seriously.  Not trying to insult you, or say that overall as a person you are an idiot, but right in this instance, you are being a fucking idiot.  There is a distinct difference between practicing faith and being extreme, over the top, and just downright moronic about it.  Quit speaking out of emotion toward his statements and how you disagree with them, and try using your brain and make a response that demonstrates you understand his message.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall Frink saying that he, himself, IS jewish.  And that would not only make you wrong, but would make your entire post in very bad taste.    I might be imagining this memory though, so if it isn't true then I apologize, but firmly stand by that this is not what Frink was saying.

He has also made it clear that he hates all religious people and wants to see any religion he personally finds stupid banned.  Banning things because he, or I or anyone else finds then stupid is a very dangerous road to go down so yes I will mock the idea every time I see it brought up.

Why does he get to dictate what is "over the top and idiotic"?  What makes him so special?

If he does practice the Jewish faith in his own way then how come he is allowed to do that but this player isn't allowed to practice his faith in his own way?  Some people find the Jewish faith over the top and idiotic, so why isn't he banned from practicing it.

The only reason he is saying anything is because he disagrees with this man's faith and wants it banned.

Just remember that while it may start with what you think is 'over the top and idiotic" once that door is opened it can never be closed and you can't complain when they come for you if someone decides that just saying you are Jewish, or Christian, or Hindu, is "over the top and idiotic".

If we start deciding certain people can't speak their minds because we don't like what they have to say or we find it stupid then some day we will all lose our freedom.

I find the idea that someone should be offended by a player giving god credit for something in a game over the top and stupid myself.  He had to go out of his way to hear the player say those words so he was looking for a reason to be offended.

Well i will not waste any more breath on him.  I just think banned people from speaking because we find what they have to say stupid is a very bad and dangerous idea, personally I avoid things that I know will upset me instead of complaining about them and that is what I am choosing to do now by leaving this conversation.

One final thought if anyone should have a problem with religion it is me, I had my life messed up by a cult when i was a kid but I don't call for religion to be banned and I don't even call for the members of this cult to not be allowed to worship in their own way, I just avoid them.  That is how I think these things should be dealt with.  Ultimately every time you complain about something stupid you are just making sure more people hear it.  For instance I would not have even heard about these comments if Frink hadn't complained about it so in the end not only is this sort of thing dangerous in my view but it is also counter productive.

I really wish the NFL would take real action on this issue of the type that major league baseball did after the 1919 world series.  I mean it's bad enough that the games are getting long and longer as more and more things are reviewed, but now that cheating seems to be something the league doesn't even bother to punish and a team and a coach is allowed to just get away with it scott free, I have to wonder what the point of watching a "sport" where the outcome is rigged is.

I think I am done with American Football after this.  It's become boring and the outcome isn't down to the skill of the players any more so I couldn't care less at this point.

I'm sorry but as someone who has played football I have to say there is no way that ball was deflated by two pounds and he didn't know about it.  He may not have deflated it but he didn't report it when he felt it and he had no problem with profiting from it.  At the very least he should be kept out of the hall of fame and if I had my way he would be banned from the game for life.

All they did was cheat to win a football game. It's not like they wore BEATS brand headphones or something awful.

But that is what the NFL rules are there for, if cheating is not punished then what is the point of having the NFL and it's rules in the first place.

I know one thing I will not be watching the Superbowl this year or any other football period until this is dealt with.

Yes it is just a football game, but if it so so unimportant that the rules don't need to be enforced then what is the point of watching the games? The NFL's defense for doing nothing also seems to make the point that I shouldn't be watching their games to begin with so that is just what I am going to do.

Also Star Wars is just a movie but that hasn't stopped any of us from joining this site and trying to get unaltered cuts of the movies released on home video.

At least the WWF is honest about it just being a show and not a sport.  I have never been a wresting fan but I tell you after this I am more likely to watch wresting then I am the NFL.

The first is obviously sarcasm so it doesn't count.  And I shouldn't have to find anything because I'm not the one who was making accusations.  I wanted DrCrow to have to find them since he was the one saying absurd things about him.  But since he's apparently decided to pretend this argument never happened I'm guessing he came up short.

Well a petty forum argument doesn't really warrant citing every little nonsense... especially when it comes down to quotes of an insignificant troll. :)
