Did any of you walk out of the theatre for any of the Star Wars prequels? — Page 5

I think I walked out of a movie once. I can't remember it though. Must of been so bad I can't remember it.

I did fall asleep for a whole hour of Pearl Harbour.  I woke up when Pearl Harbour was being attacked. That whole love story thing I missed.

I thought it was a great film until I saw all of it.

As far as Star Wars prequels go I saw Episode one 7 times at the cinema purely because of Darth Maul. First time I missed the fact he was cut in half. I just thought he fell into the whole and would be back for the sequel. Disappointing he was not in all three.I saw Episode two 3 times. Different people wanted to see it with me. Episode three I saw once.

I enjoy the space battles the most and the prequel trilogy was lacking severely in that department. So many lost opportunities with space battles.

No.  I almost did during Crystal Skull though.

Never walked out of any star wars movies, when seen individually. however, when i was in college (early 90s) they had a star wars movie marathon of the original trilogy. i couldnt make it past the second. six hours of movies in a row was just too much for me, even though they were my favorite movies.

I was so pumped for Phantom Menace I don't think I realized how weak it was until after it was over.  For AOTC, I knew going in it wasn't going to be great, but I was still enough of a SW fan I wanted to see how the story went.. plus I was hoping maybe George would have learned from Phantom.  By the time ROTC showed up, I went in expecting it to be largely crap, but still needing to see how it ended.

If only I could go back in time and stop myself.

.....hmm, maybe I'll tell myself not to see the Matrix sequels while I'm at it.

I thought everyone thought this.

At least Star Wars can look down on the Matrix and laugh: they made only one good movie and ruined themselves within four years. It took Star Wars at least six (or sixteen) years to do that!

What are you guys talking about? It's a well-known fact that there is only one Matrix movie. I wish they'd made a sequel!

Why would you choose to watch TDKR if you haven't seen the first two?

My little brother (14 at the time) was visiting the week it came out and wanted to see it, so I took him. Lots of people say The Dark Knight is a great film, but I'm not keen on ever seeing it, considering those same people rave about one of the worst things I've ever seen on screen.

Nope. But that was because of my built up love for Star Wars. Even though I thought The Phantom Menace sucked the first time I saw it, there was a lot of rationalizing, followed by multiple viewings in the hopes that it would get better. Attack of the Clones left me traumatized and despondent. Revenge of the Sith I saw just to see it through. Only saw each of those travesties once.

My biggest memory of Revenge of the Sith was the credits at the end of the movie, oddly enough. I've always told people Star Wars films aren't over until the credits end, you have to sit and watch and listen to the end of the soundtrack. But for Revenge of the Sith, which I went to see alone

How many others were also in your seat at the time?

and the first person out the rear doors of a mostly full theater. I couldn't leave fast enough.

I guess that would depend on how monogamous s/he is.
