I didn't really like the new design, now after watching the video, I'm worried even more. This guy shows how powerful this new big lightsaber is compared to the standard weapons, so I wonder if the fighters with the normal swords have to be just as fast as in the PT to compensate for their disadvantage.

Also, it makes every Jedi without a crossguard on their sword look stupid, as if they wanted their hands to get chopped off. Even in the PT, noone has a guard, so it seems that the fighting style evolved to a point where it doesn't require crossguards. Therefore, the standard lightsabers should be just as powerful in combat as the new one.

I'm really hoping the new design is introduced in a way to make sense for the movie and the whole saga. Apart from that, I'm fairly optimistic to get at least a good movie, if not a good Star Wars movie.
