Wow.....A wonderful image came to mind:
Star Trek's dick between Star Wars' lovely tits............
I suppose I know who would represent each franchise.

Personally, I find the idea of making the series finale of one show the pilot episode of another entirely disagreeable - especially considering it was a pilot that was never picked up.
That wasn't the finale of TOS, it was the end of the second season.
Yes, I know. There was chance it could have been the last episode of the entire series at the time, though, and if it had been, then the show would have gone out on a very lame note.
Like Kirk getting body swapped with the psycho ex-girlfriend from hell was a great episode to end the series on. ;)
Maybe Janice Lester will be in the next movie?
IIRC, someone at the studio or network floated the idea of a Mr. Spock spinoff set on Vulcan, but Gene wasn't crazy about the idea.
It's unfortunate none of Gene's later concepts made it past being the movie of the week. Genesis II went through three incarnations, and the main character of Dylan Hunt was later transformed into the hero of Andromeda.
The Questor Tapes' android title character later inspired Commander Data.
Spectre was way ahead of the X-Files and other spooky paranormal shows.
Where were you in '77?
Sooner or later, I'm going to have to post an insanely long and detailed post on what my current personal Trek canon is.

I look forward to ignoring it.
I would say anything made before 2009 would be canon; I'd rather watch The Final Frontier in an infinite loop than watch the Fast & Furious in space. There is no intelligence in the new movies whatsoever: the only connection with the franchise are the names.

Child, please.
I include most of the comics, novels, and other expanded media as part of the main media, and exclude most of Voyager and Enterprise.
And, personally, I prefer some things in other media to the apparent canonical versions. Like, for instance, I prefer the post-Star Trek III DC comics series to the eventual Star Trek IV.

Same here. I myself prefer DC's take on the post-TOS Mirror Universe over DS9's.
TOS, movies 1-4, and AbramsTrek.
Honorable mention to First Contact and the Enterprise crash in Generations.
The other stuff had some great characters and episodes. Lots of great story concepts.
Dunno, the rest just didn't quite click with me as "real Trek".
I can see how others got into it, though.
My favorite is the ion canon.
Ion Canon ... isn't that some type of camera?
That would be better than the alternative
Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…
I heard it was more of an idea... a belief that keeps us all going when things seem tough.

Have you ever considered that DS9's mirror universe may be a mirror universe of the mirror universe?
As in an alternate version of the Mirror Universe? Yes, I've taken that into consideration.

Is it the same mirror universe that the Abrams-Lin Trek movies take place?
Star Trek, Star Trek movies 1-4 and then 6, Star Trek TNG, Voyager(But only because I can't stand to write the HoloDoc out of cannon), Star Trek Generations, Star Trek First Contact, and Star Trek DS9.
Oh and any comics I come across that I think are good.
Oh, yeah. Insurrection never happened. In fact, I don't even know how it could have happened. In fact, what is Insurrection? I mean, I know what the word means, but why is it capitalized? Is it a movie title or something?
Sounds stupid to me.

Insurrection wasn't bad, it just felt like a TV episode that they shot too much for and forgot to edit down to 45 minutes.
I can't say I regard any of the TNG films as part of my personal canon. The general plot of First Contact may be an exception -- even then, only in a broad strokes manner -- but absolutely nothing beyond that.

They never should have cut the Quark cameo. ;)
It's unfortunate that they didn't use the expensive Enterprise E model from First Contact at all in favor of going all CGI. The spaceship shots in the film haven't aged well.

Instead of wasting all that time and money they should have just played Homeward in theaters.
Man I miss Sierra and great PC gaming in general:(
I don't consider Star Trek canon.
