That's some kind of moral code to think you can commit whatever sins you want and still buy your way into paradise or even a clean conscience.

Being an ass to your fanbase & franchise isn't a sin. It's just being an ass.

His work for charity is regularly commended, and should be. While I don't like the guy personally, it has nothing to do with him being a bad person (he isn't one in the broader sense).

It's strictly about his megalomania, historical revisionism and dishonesty with regard to his films.
