Also, IIRC, the MKV with DTS audio has the letterboxing cropped out, so it's something like 1280x544 instead of 1280x720. So you can't just remux the MKV to a BD-compliant stream, since it isn't the correct size. Which is why Harmy recommended using the AVCHD video stream with the DTS audio - the AVCHD is 1280x720 with black letterboxing, and therefore BD-compliant.
