Best program for editing an MKV file?

Hi there,

I'm new at trying to create my own fan edits and was wondering if anyone could recommend the best program for editing/cutting an MKV file frame by frame? I've tried Videoredo and MKV Cutter and neither seem to be much use. Any help greatly apprecieated!

definately not pinacle studio, it always screwed up the audio sync when i tried it for mkv, I use kdenlive, but thats only for linux as far as im aware.

Not sure what format the actual video is, but remuxing to m2ts would likely increase your options.

I’ve had some luck with minor MKV edits using AviDemux, it works if you want to replace or reencode the entire soundtrack for instance.
