Older movies continually suffer color regrading on blu-ray. So that remains the greatest concern for such a release.
That is if such a release ever happens. Which as of now I don't believe is likely.

My main concerns are the same ones I have with every BD release, DNR and edge enhancement.

The color timing could quite possibly be messed up.
It's been color-timed so many times now, who the hell knows what's correct?

They will only exist in an alternate dimension of fantastical counterfactual phenomena born of the intense wishes of the fans in this dimension.

They'll still have some recomposited elements, re-done wipes.
They'll use the wrong (you can choose what 'wrong' means) version of the Yavin takeoff shot, credits, etc.
