Hi Everyone, happy 1 year before the Force Awakens! Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I noticed this today on StarWars.com:

Some of you might want to submit your entries. Will we see ESB-R by January 16, 2015? How about ANR? Heck, even Harmy’s Despecialized Editions could be considered fan edits that would have a huge chance of winning and would send a clear message. 😉

I will be attending the event in person, so I hope to see one of you win it and be able to watch it at the event!

I don't think fan edits are the same thing as fan films.

Is George judging them again? ;)

Good point. I just noticed this at the bottom of the page:

Please remember you may not use any music in your Submission other than the music that is specifically included in this Asset Pack.

We won't even seen ROTR anytime soon, unfortunately. ANR could in theory be done by Jan 16, 2016, but I wouldn't count on it.

And note that it's not just music that is limited to the asset pack:

Subject to Section 3, Paragraph 4, of the TOU, your Submission may include copyrighted material from Star Wars embodied in products such as toys, costumes, accessories, posters and clothing, but may not include audio/visual content other than as authorized in this Asset Pack.
