The next DeEd/ReEd double play is done! Although I'm not sure yet if it's going to be of any use.

 Impressive.

Most impressive!

I love them Could you send it to me? Also I guess if Harmy makes a respecialized of ESB you're going to make one for ROTJ?

Thanks in advance.

Lookin' good. My only problem is the IV: A New Hope title for Star Wars.

I know.  I debated not having it, but the plan is to use this to make discs for all the special editions as well and create a box set with all the versions, so while it doesn’t make sense for the theatrical release by itself, I think it will look nice as part of the set.

Um, is there really going to be a respecialized of ESB? Considering Adywans 14gb 97se mkv, would such a project be redundant? Would be interesting to see if it wasn't.

Well I don't know what Harmy's planning, we'll see.

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.

Wow, these are so good. I'm having a hard time deciding. But seriously they're all fantastic. Props

Since the matter crept into another thread I thought I should make note of it here too.

The covers I make and post here are available freely through the PM system, and I am more than happy to share.

I see some examples of people doing after-the-fact modifications to my work, big and small, before printing for themselves.

This is okay as long as the resulting variants are not distributed, but I am not okay with people disseminating work based on my originals. Feel free to display such efforts, but I ask that you keep those files to yourself.

Has anyone HD case covers for the HAL9000 prequel Fanedits?

has someone made anything based off of the faces art for the despecialized edition? or a 3 pack trilogy art?

Here's a blu-ray version of the faces art that I created for the despecialized edition. It may not be perfect, my skills are lacking. I should also note that they are technically a remake of sorts of the faces DVD art that was in the DVD Cover forums a few years ago. Hope you enjoy my first post to ot.com!

Thanks so much... Been waiting for someone to do these in high quality in HD/Blu-Ray size!

I made these for my collection of Despecialized discs. I based them off a couple of designs from this thread and the DVD one. I can't remember the names of the contributors, so if anyone remembers please let me know and I will give them the recognition they deserve.

I went with a minimalist approach and incorporated the Ralph McQuarrie concept art because I really didn't want to use any stills from the films. I took the one sentence summaries from part of my DVD summaries.

*EDIT* Recognition goes to chyron8472, michaeldc, and EyeShotFirst.

I LOVE those. ^  not too crazy about the spines, as I don't like that the star wars logo on the first film doesn't line up with the others, (just my personal taste. I know why you did it) but overall just fantastic. Minimalistic, but not TOO minimalistic.  Perfect balance imo.

Yeah I struggled with that a bit too. I think I might make another one with A New Hope. Or, I might line it up and see how it looks. I'm also thinking I could make the left side of the front covers be the spine, replacing the blue, (although, I do like the blue.) I'm glad you like them! I actually made them for my parents who love the OT but have never owned them themselves.

Or just get rid of Star Wars from the others completely and make the titles as big as SW on the first one.

That could work, too. The Star Wars title is actually the png logo taken from starwars.com. I attempted to use the fonts available online, like Star Jedi, but I was never happy with how it turned out.

Overall, I feel okay about it. Yeah it looks kind of out of place when placed together on display, but I feel it works because Star Wars was originally supposed to be a stand alone film in the first place. I guess the covers unexpectedly reflects that, at least for me.

Here's those faces covers again, this time just for standard Blu-Ray use. The first ones I posted were for the despecialized editions.

Can I ask what font you used on the spine and back?  I really like it.

It's called ITCSerifGothic Roman. It's the closest match I could find of the "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" copy on the front cover of the STAR WARS cover.

Quick question - are Harmy's Despec artwork good for 11mm or 14mm BD cases?

Thanks -
