He said he plans to use improper punctuation on all his posts, so won't this make you feel compelled to point them all out?  Or is it just incorrect homonym usage that bugs you?

Eh, for what it's worth, I abandoned the idea to end my sentences with the component elements of the interrobang soon after I thought it up. It just takes too much effort with no discernible payoff.

Wait -- did I just reference a Bryan Adams song made after 1991?! Good God, but I feel soiled!

I've heard "Depends" really help with feeling soiled.

My cable company added a bunch of channels this week, (or finally unscrambled them) and it's taking a while to figure out what's what. I tend to leave the tv on when I'm out, (just to keep the illusion someone might be home) and rushed off while a PG rated film was playing. What I didn't know was that channel was Cinemax, and they still play soft core smut after ten.

It's a damn good thing my curtains were not open! ;)

I'd love to have an imaginary girlfriend, but my imagination just isn't strong enough to get the job done. =(

You could always get a fake internet girlfriend like Manti Te'o did. ;)

I was looking for the famous "little girl in the red coat" scene in Schindler's list, on Youtube.

I found 3 or 4 versions of it, but I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't see the red in any of them.

I know I'm color blind, but I'm not that bad! ... Am I ?

I remember seeing it on vhs when they showed us the movie in my class, in middle school. I think I did see it.

Could Youtube's H264 codec be eating up the red splotch of color, perhaps mistaking it as an error in the midst of all those greys??

The red is there, though it looks a bit pink at times and is quite faint in most shots. It's more red/grey in some shots than others as well, but it isn't completely grey.

^ There is your answer dude ;-)

But seriously, the red is a little less saturated than I remember in that YouTube clip but it was never that bright to begin with. Probably a YouTube encoding thing as you say.

Additional: Shot from Blu-Ray.com...

Back in the day, I saw it in RE class on VHS too and remember the red being a touch stronger. Perhaps it was boosted a tad for the VHS release to compensate for the loss in "resolution"? Because in most shots she is just a dot in the distance.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

*Strikes beard* different factors could play into this: first the telecine, and most importantly, the way codecs like mpeg2, xvid and h264 handle color. The chroma space will always lose some information, and in a case like this, it seems most likely. I'll run a couple of tests tomorrow.

Oh, and I cannot see it on that still from Bluray.com.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, I think I see it in that photo. It is incredibly faint though. If I wasn't looking for it, I'm not sure I would see it. Jpeg compression is notoriously really lossy.

Oh. The coat is very obviously red in that Blu-Ray.com shot I posted. It's your eyes I'm afraid.

Your current Avatar? What colour is the light on the Bridge-Keeper's face?
