Redsoxs win game 2!

as for the curse, you never know. In 1986 the Redsoxs only needed one more strike to win the series and they blew it. So, (IMHO) the curse isn't over until it's over.

Yeah, if we have learned one thing from this post-season: "it ain't over until the fat lady sings."

Although I think its odd that its been 86 years. And in food-service, etc. to 86 something means to remove it, or nix it essentially. Just thought that was neat.

86 means that in more than just the food service industry.

I'm rooting heavily for the Bosox, but, like was said earlier, it ain't over till it's over. People thought (myself included) that it was all over for the Sox after game three. Look what they pulled off.

I'd prefer Red Sox in 6 so they can win it back home in Boston. Games 3, 4, and 5 are in St. Louis. At least, I think.

no i dont think they are bossk

i think game 5 is in boston, the reason it went 12 NY 345 Bos 67 NY in the last series was because one of the games got rained out.

Just checked MLB.com. I was right. 1-2 in Boston, 3-5 in St. Louis, 6-7 in Boston.

Here's the link.

that's the they've always done it with a best of seven series in baseball

team A vs team B
(if it has been decided that team A has the home field advantage.)

first two games are on team A's home field and the next 3 are on team B's field and the final two (if the series lasts that long) are back team A's home field.

I know what you mean, but I were a Redsoxs fan I would just want them to win it. 86 years without winning the series I wouldn't care wheither the won it in Boston or on the other team's field, just as long as they won the thing. (althought the celebration at Fenway would be somthing to behold .)

I think the Sox will sweep. After tonight they just seem to be out-performing the Cardinals in just about every category. Lowe still feels like he has something to prove, and Manny is debatably hot right now on both sides of the ball.

I think that if the Sox lose tomorrow, it could very well deflate them. They wont get another good start from Schilling.
Its too bad though, id love to see them win at Fenway. But I agree with whoever said that the majority of fans just want them to win, it could be on the moon for all they care!

Losing tonight wouldn't deflate them. It would energize them to epic proportions. They're on fire. So it's a non issue. I'm saying Red Sox in 4 now. However, even if they lose tonight, it will be in 5 for the Bosox. They won't let two go.

Bear in mind that tonight is a lunar eclipse. A very rare event indeed. So, pair that with a Red Sox win and you've got a helluva memorable evening.

GO SOX!

Not that its particularly important Bossk, but lunar eclipses are not all that rare. The link you used refers to another total eclipse that occured only a year ago, and if I remember correctly from Astronomy there is a lunar eclipse (at least partial) every 2 years.
Im not trying to be a jerk or anything, just saying. BTW, I think it would deflate them, but I dont think they would lose. I think they would be pretty down and might lose game 5, which would send it back to Fenway, where there is no chance they would lose now.
