The search feature was disabled because it was basically useless. You're best off with google anyway.

Trust me, I've already googled. Obtained the .rar URLs from tehparadox but part 5 is broken and no one over there is helping anyone.
It is crazy how difficult this is to get. Maybe people like it that way.
"You can't win, but there are alternatives to tehparadox."
Download the other parts and try it again later - the links sometimes go bad for a bit but then they get back to normal. Or try downloading that one part in your browser. Also, I recommend using FreeRapid Downloader for uloz.to - it fills in the captchas for you automatically.

I was only referring to searching the forum in general, which is why I only quoted the part of your post that related to that.
Regarding that broken part 5. You can actually download it "by hand" by typing the URL in your browser...

I ended up downloading in my browser. All the problems may have been with Jdownloader, which doesn't seem to want to play nice with my PC. Or I just plain don't know how it works.
At any rate Star Wars 2.5 and Empire 2.0 look pretty great. I can't even imagine how much work it took to create these. Thanks for the effort.
Hilariously relevant to the despecialization, has anyone seen this yet? The Episode VII Trailer: George Lucas' Special Edition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v93Jh6JNBng
Hello everyone,
I am new to this wonderful community, but I would love some help regarding the Star Wars despecialized edition. When I say that I've never torrented anything, I mean it. I'm frightened of viruses, they're crowded with spam, and I get lost under all the tiny little details. Please don't ignore this, as I read the OP, and it made me even more confused. My ultimate goal is to download the trilogy first, then to burn them onto blurays.
Please help, I've never seen the original Star Wars trilogy in its unaltered format, and I would like my first experience to be something special!
Regards,
Silent.
SilentxStatik24, I've sent you a PM (link at the top-right of the page) with all the basic info to get you started. :)

Thank YOU and other members for getting me going, so happy to view these editions!
Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place. I've had a hard time asking this question online due to most places having anti-torrent policies.
Can anyone confirm that these represent the most recent versions of the Despecialized episodes?
EDIT: Removed links. Apparently it's against the rules here, too.

This place does too. http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Notes-on-Piracy-Please-Read/forum/17/topic/13347/
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Son of a... damn it!
How on earth can I find out which versions are the correct ones? I Google the heck out of this and there are several versions floating around everywhere and it's hard to get a definitive listing at any given point in time.
In other words, kindly remove those links, NoobDude.
EDIT: Argh, too late, but you got the message anyway ;)
Is it against rules to ask for confirmation in terms of filesize and name?
For instance:
Episode IV, I see a version 2.5 MKV, a rather big file of nearly 18 GB.
Episode V, and Episode VI are about 6.5 - 7 GB each.
Not sure why IV is so much larger than V and VI.
Filesize confirmation, even MD5's, are kosher. ~18GB seems about right for the current (version 2.x) MKV of both Star Wars and Empire. ~7GB seems about right for the older (version 1.0) AVCHD releases, which is current only for Jedi.
They're big because Harmy don't make no crap ;)
ESB also has 20GB version, search with "Harmy" instead of "Despecialized". Whoever uploaded it didn't think much. ._.

The large ESB file seems to not be widely available from what I can tell.

^Most recent?
Yes (it's posted in the first post of this thread)
Not that it matters, but I just uploaded Chewtobacca's v2.5 DVD5 conversion to the spleen.
Turns out it wasn't up there before now.
chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.
Is the most recent ROTJ about 6.7 GB?
Yes.
Current releases:
Star Wars - v2.5 - available as a ~7GB AVCHD and a ~18GB MKV
Empire - v2.0 - available as a ~7GB AVCHD and a ~20GB MKV
Jedi - v1.0 - only available as a ~7GB AVCHD
There's also AVCHD releases for v1.0 of Star Wars and Empire, and an AVCHD and ~18GB MKV of v2.0 and (I think) v2.1 of Star Wars.
Thanks.
Not sure if "AVCHD" is also a type of MKV as the 7 GB ROTJ I see is MKV as well.
What is the difference between the AVCHD and MKV versions? (the 7 GB and 17+ GB files)? Are there significant differences?
Is anyone working on a 17+ GB ROTJ equivalent?
AVCHD's are in a format that can be burned to DVD-9 and played back on many Blu-ray players. They are significantly lower bitrate than the MKV's, and therefore aren't as good, although it should be noted that they're surprisingly good considering their bitrate.
EDIT: And yes, Harmy's still working on the 2.x series. Jedi is up next, then probably more work on Empire (it's not perfect yet).
