well, watched it a few more times. and the things I mentioned arent as annoying the second time, but still doesnt really hook me to Episode VII anymore than I was prior to today.

I keep reading that people arent understanding the difference between what is simply the first 'trailer' opposed to a 'teaser'.  In other words, the first trailers for TPM, DOFP arent teasers at all.  OTOH, the 'breathe' for AOTC, that first preview of Alien 3 are what we call 'Teasers'.  Thats fine, but if thats the case, I have seen plenty of teasers that I feel grab your attention succesfully.  Hell, ROTS Teaser was better than this.  Eyes Wide Shut had a great teaser.  Superman Returns had a great Teaser.  If the post-credits for The Wolverine can be considered the 'teaser' for DOFP, even that made me more curious.

This seems more like a really short incomplete, unprepared trailer than a compelling 'teaser'.  You know what I think would have worked better?  if the teaser just picked one of the shots and continued it for a minute or so.  Like if we just continued tracking with that soccer-ball droid as we follow it around mos eisley - giving us a glimpse of how much the GFFA has changed in 30 years.  Or if we continued tracking with those x-wings. I dunno.

anyway, I've heard something that could give me more hope for that Falcon sequence - JJ shot some stuff in IMAX right?  if so, I can imagine that shot be a lot more exciting on a huge imax screen.

at the end of the day, that is the only thing that counts.  But I feel the producers could have offered a lot more and still kept it as a tip of the iceberg.

By the way, how many of you guys have seen it in one of the theatres or know someone that has?
