Thanks for the info!

The Imax version FORCED them to do a leaner cut, though, simply becuase the format doesn't support the length of a long feature film.
Well, regardless, yeah, I'm VERY glad to see he's not cutting the film. No, he doesn't edit in a vaccuum, BUT every other SW film has been edited by people not particularly afraid to stand up to Lucas and fight for their particular opinion on how something should be cut. In fact I believe I've heard people talk about fights over the editing choices. Burtt is a great and creative sound designer, but he's a mediocre editor, and certainly seems to be one of the Lucas yes-men (just look at the only other thing he cut...and directed...). Whenever you see him at the Avid with Lucas, the most he ever seems to protest is a partially raised eyebrow. Maybe this ALSO means we won't be subjected to another sound-fest sequence, as in the first two PT films. HUZZAH!
Hmmm...while I initially cringed when I saw Bartons' name, thinking of those credits in particular, you're right; of all the horrors of those films, it was never particularly the EDITING which stood out as being god-awful...just the scripts, direction, and performances.

What edits were made to create the Imax version of EPII? I (and I can assume some other people on here) haven't seen it? Anyone know of a link or care to tell us?
