There were two separate websites back in May and then August that reported independently of each other that the UOT is coming to blu-ray next fall. (the second website - comicbook.com - stated they had verified their info with two separate sources) Both articles stated the release will be used as a tie-in marketing campaign for EP VII.

Now fast forward a few months and it certainly sounds like there is a new OT release in some form on its way and will indeed be used, as Bog Iger's comments seem to confirm, as a major part of a tie-in marketing push for EP VII.

Put all this info together and to me it adds up to an OUT release. A new SE release with a few exclusives would not be exciting at all, and would not offer any significant marketing message that they could use to hype the new movie. Disney is thinking much bigger than that.
