As an electronics technician by day, the soldering isn't the problem here. It's finding the part. Besides that, I'd rather just get a new player with a better video SNR than hassle with this one.

On a side note, I'm re-doing the first 10 minutes of ANH using the last de-ghost filters Laserschwert posted, along with manual Vdub IVTC, and the resize/sharpen/resize trick. Only this time I'm using the MSU noise reduction and sharpen filters. Only 3 hours to process, so I'll check it in the morning.
