I thought of a possible way to fix the parts where they are exposed to space. If you ever saw the animated Star Trek or Space Academy they had life support devices. What if Vincent's screen showed LIFE SUPPORT ACTIVATED and the crew could maybe have a life support force filed around them or an Aura outline.
Maybe even inserting a closeup of a device on a wrist band. Stand-In Arm, jacket, and electronic wrist band.
