I just looked more closely at the links in the Wookieepedia article and noticed that "slicing off" linked to its own article, called "Cho Sun", which is "the act of cutting off an opponent's weapon arm" according to the article.* "Cutting off" links to the article on dismemberment, which also gives the examples of "[c]ho mok was the act of cutting off an opponent's limb, usually the leg. Mou kei was a variant generally forbidden by the Jedi since it involved cutting through several limbs at once."

Sometimes it's hard to take Wookieepedia seriously....

*Obi-Wan is noted to have "performed cho sun at least four times".

Not seeing anything that suggests Luke is the bad guy.

Jason Ward was speculating out of his ass.

Yikes somebody is going to get fired for leaking that stuff. I clicked away pretty fast, surprised they had so much.

That is indeed one of the best finds posted in this thread. I was clicking through those concept arts multiple times like mad.. so awesome! Absolutely loved the one inside a throne room, with the cloaked villain sitting to the far left where his lair is red and the hero is approaching through the door from the right where bluish light is coming in - very symbolic and the art says it all what's happening. I really really hope that exact style of shot will actually be in the film.

The throne art is actually my least favorite of the bunch, as it seems kind of Marvel villain-esque, if that makes sense. But all of them are really great, much more realistic and lived-in than the prequels and even McQuarrie's concepts. If the film is able to capture this feel, it could be one of the best Star Wars films on that strength alone.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Good ol' IE9.

Internet Exploder is always a mistake. You would be safer putting your John Thomas in the hands of a lunatic with a pair of sharp scissors*

Free and better options are available Firefox, Midori, Opera (12.58 not 25).

That concept art is AMAZING!!!  It's so beautiful and has such a classic art style to much of it.  And the return of the lived in universe looks so realistic.  If the movie is really going to look like this, we are going to have a treat.

Honestly I don't mind seeing this stuff as much right now, since we don't have any real solid material on the plot, so it looks more mysterious than spoilery to me.

This concept art is excellent and I love that they're using McQuarrie's artwork for inspiration as well, as we have already seen.  Interestingly, none of the concept art seems to correspond with the "leaked" footage from a few weeks ago.  I love that they're using an AT-AT as a base/hideout of some sort. :-)

I'm intrigued by the concept that Vader's helmet survived the funeral pyre, (if indeed it's supposed to be that very helmet) and someone recovered it from Endor at some point. It's a cool Shakespearean way to have Vader in the movie.

Much to my amazement, the ROTJ funeral helmet does still exist.

I just noticed, with timdiggerm's reposting, that the second picture (in his order) has what looks like a crashed Star Destroyer in the background. That should be interesting. And we now know what the pig things are going to be used for.

The guy with the red lightsabre is unfortunate, however. I was hoping we were going to avoid that kind of thing.

EDIT: It looks like the chrome trooper has a lightsabre. Perhaps that aspect of McQuarrie's work will make an appearance after all.

Maybe Tatooine has become a giant ship scrapyard?

Watto must be rolling in dough if he's still around. ;)

At least it doesn't appear to be a double-bladed, spinning or some other gimmicky type of saber.

I just hope that "grave robber" is a new character and doesn't turn out to be the Emperor or some other previous character that has been dead for 30+ years.

Alright, now that I've seen the new concept art up close, I can safely say -- for the most part -- they leave me with a reaction of meh. Well, except for these three pieces:

These three give me happy, tingly feelings.

Everyone thinks it's Mark when it clearly makes sense it's Carrie :-D

If his first student went bad it would kind of put Luke out of setting up a new Jedi Temple.

Leia has a habit of raiding the dressing up box and choking people to death.

I'm not usually a gambler but I might even lay a bet on that. It would explain why it seems Han is not with her anymore.
