OK, just wondering: I'm a huge fan of Terminator 2, but I've always found the original Terminator to be almost unwatchable when it gets to the climax due to the hideous Terminator effects -- it really jolts me out of the movie whenever I see it.

While I really prefer to do without the "enhancements" Lucas added to SW, I would welcome the replacement of a decent-looking Terminator. Just curious what others think about this ... I'm guessing most here would rather not see it messed with.

I find it strange that this is a change I've daydreamed about for a while now, but I've had no desire to see the effects cleaned up in ANY other movies I can think of ... normally I can just accept the effects of a movie as a product of its era. I think one reason Terminator is different for me is that T1 and T2 have such a gap in the quality of their effects, but the same actors, etc ... so the effects differences mar the continuity to some degree. Also, probably a big reason is that I saw T2 first, so going back to T1 was just that much more painful.
