Truly breathtaking work on this, mate! Always negged on fan restorations until v2.5, so infinite thanks go to you and your counterparts. My loyalty to nostalgic antecedents utterly outstrips the exceptional (yet creatively tarnished) remastered quality of the SW blu-rays. This is the only SW, ALL OTHER VERSIONS ARE DEAD TO ME!
QUERY 1:
Just want to ask why there exists a duration differential of ~00:00:05 between the MKV (02:01:50) and AVCHD (02:01:45) releases? (I loved watching it on my comp so transferring it to a home cinema viewing is definitely stage 2.) Anyway, is this something to do with timings affected by compression to get it down to a DVD9 containable size? I'm pretty sure that's not the case but I thought I'd ask.
QUERY 2:
Is there any upside to directly muxing the 17.8gb MKV to BD ISO and putting the resulting directory on a blank BD rather than getting the reduced AVCHD for DVD? The drop in size from 18gb to 8gb seems intense but I have little esoteric knowledge in this area so I thought I'd ask. (Is it similar to the audiophile argument between FLAC and 320kbps when most find no discernible difference etc?)
