This is a wonderful project and I loved all the hard work you've put into this.
Picture quality is stunning and I've felt that I was back as a kid in 1991 watching this again.
Nice upgrade. Needs a little work (the sky is darker), but that is better in just about every way.

I can echo that: fantastic work.
I'd been waiting to say something until I could watch it offline -- i.e., not at the computer -- but that seems to be a ways further than I'd expected: continuing lack of hardware.
The clarity is amazing, and I appreciate all the hard work that went into making it.
Thank you!

sorry for bothering, but I got here trying to "get" in some way your personal restored version...could anyone please tell me what should I do now? No need to say that I DO OWN the original materials of Disney's Beauty and the Beast (and would be happy to prove it), for I DID buy all editions since VHS, DVD, BD...but I'd be very happy to own the fan-restored BD ^^ thanks!
I'm a little confused by this project. Is this a Laserdisc preservation or the Bluray recoloured to match one?
It's the laserdisc cleaned to look like the Bluray.

Nope! It's a laserdisc preservation, with small color correction to remove the pink blanket, that's all! No BD used as a color correction.

Let me rephrase that...
...cleaned to look like the A Bluray.

OK! (^^,)

Having finally watched the BD-25, it is nothing less than incredible. In one or two places, close to the beginning, the framerate is a little wonky--such as in the bookshop--but overall, the edit looks like an HD print of the original movie, and not a Saturday-morning cartoon like the official Blu-Ray.
You made my fiancee's night, spoRv. Thank you so much.
Happy to hear that, Aturaten!

Sadly, BATB [spoRv] is not available anymore on myinternalorgan, maybe due to the fact it's Disney... if someone has uploaded it anywhere else, please PM me, thanks!

Not finding this anywhere =(
Just the dead link mentioned above.
Ya, it's too bad. Doesn't seem to be available anywhere.
OK, as now this project is definitely "out of print" (^^,) it could be the time to upload it again somewhere... but, as it will take AT LEAST one week - due to my poor connection - is there anything I should change?
I mean, for the ones lucky (and patient) enough that grab this one before its OOP status, do you think I should correct/boost/dimish/add contrast, color grading, grain, saturation, anything else?
Waiting for your comment, thanks!!!

I am happy to upload this to demonoid (+public trackers) for you. I would still like to see the unfiltered version if possible, you could just encode with a CRF of 14-16 at the original frame size and it should only come out at 4GB or so.

Ok, at the conclusion of our PM exchange this is now up on demonoid. Please feel free to help seed!! The files are all the same as from myspleen, so if you downloaded that you are set to seed.
And if you happen to be the only person on this planet without demonid membership, just PM me. :)

Great, thanks a lot!!!

OMG!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :-)
My stomach started aching of joy!
It's a shame it got booted off MySpleen, it's not against their explicit rules, they seem to view any Disney as being "high risk".
[ Scanning stuff since 2015 ]
Their rules allow low risk Disney (aka, films Disney barely cares about) and if the version being posted is substantially different from what is commercially available (i.e., uncensored or different edit).
I can understand why they were worried about this BD.
Dr. M
looking forward to the unfiltered version :D
Any chance of just a clip comparison between filter and unfiltered? I know that's a bit much to ask, but I suspect side by side it might prove the unfiltered to be inferior and unnecessary.
