I wanted to attempt to do what is being discussed in this thread, which is edit some of my favorite clone wars story arcs into feature length episodes. Is there a tutorial to help me get started? ripping the video from blu ray discs into editable formats, ripping audio so dialogue and music is separated into different tracks, etc. Any help would be much appreciated.

After watching season 6 with the Yoda Arc, the Clone Wars just has to be edited into a trilogy. That Yoda Arc, is everything I loved about Star Wars, and everything that the PT lacked. Our (star wars fans) prequal trilogy is there for the taking in the Clone Wars episodes. Now we simply need an editor out there with the Force guiding them to create the prequel trilogy we have all been longing for.
Nighsisters - Mandalorians - Maul and Savage - Mortis - Yoda: These arcs should provide enough for a trilogy.

Those are good arcs for films, but you still need to insert some form of a Ahsoka introduction.. Maybe a recut of the opening of the Clone Wars movie.
Loved Season 6 with the exception of the Jar Jar episode. I cut it off after he started making out with that other alien queen.... Yoda's story was great. I was kinda expecting more closure for Ahsoka, but not a deal breaker. I guess I can accept she just left never to be seen again.

I think Ahsoka could maybe be told to the audience that she is Anakin's padywan, because honestly I can hardly stand Ahsoka many times in TCW movie, yet she's one of my top 3 characters of all Star Wars movies/TCW.
In terms of arcs to be used, I'd avoid Maul and Savage as they don't have proper closure, and I'd probably put in something a little more normal SW, if you know what I mean. A good Anakin with Obi-Wan in the battlefield arc. Together as "brothers".
Side note: Funny you mention not finishing the Jar-Jar episode. Jar-Jar was annoying, but I found it great that Windu, throughout the two episodes, looks just as annoyed as anyone watching (including me). Some of his facial expressions were hillarious to me. It was almost like Filloni was trying to tell us, "Yeh, Jar-Jar is stupid and we know it."
I've decided to try my own hand at this. Starting at the end, as opposed to the beginning, I thought this would allow me to use the best episodes first.
Episode 3 will consist of the following episodes. Now I just need Lucasfilm to release Blu's!

I have a rough outline of the first 2 episodes as well. Now that I now which episodes I intend to use for Episode 3, I can probably get started on Episode 2. Episode 2 will begin with the Mortis arc, and The Ahsoka arc will be the end of Episode 2.
Episode 1 will certainly be the most difficult. I may also do a "Spin-Off" film focusing on just the clones.
I will eventually need help with creating crawls for these, so if you are interested, please let m know.
Sounds good - I'd be interested to see how you cut them together, and recreate the pace of a longer film as oppose to something episodic. Would you rework the music?
