 Fair point, but it's not the like the rules in the NFL are sacrosanct handed down by god.

 true, but there is only so much you can change about the rules and whatnot of football before you are no longer playing football.

 I highly doubt anyone shot 36 times would be able to flee.   Btw, are you referencing something that actually happened?  I haven't heard of anyone that was shot 36 times by police while fleeing.

 This is a perfect example of why I cheer every time a cop is killed.  Cops are nothing more then racist thugs who are allowed to murder anyone they don't like.

There is no difference between your average cop and a member of the KKK.

We need to get rid of the police now,they are the single most blood thirsty groups of killers the human race has ever produced.  In fact I would not even go so far as to call them human,they are monsters who murder and nothing more. They shouldn't even count as members of the human race.

DrCrowTStarwars,  I know you are going through a lot have some serious mental difficulties, but what you say above is just insane, offensive, and stupid.  I can only image what will happen if Ferris ever sees you post this stuff(he is a fellow forum member and a proud Texas cop).   

btw, if we got rid of the police, just who would be stopping murderes, thieves, and rapists?

Any group that exists to murder people for having the wrong skin colour gets no respect from me.

Also all those crimes keep happening so i would say the police aren't doing any of the good things you say they are doing.  If they were we wouldn't have those problems.

1.  They don't exits to murder people for having the wrong skin color.  Yes, minority of them are racist and sometimes do bad things.  Sometimes however, we only think they are racist and did something bad, but instead were well within their rights to do what they did.   Sometimes people can't agree on whether or not the right was right and whether or not the cop is racist.  Sometimes there is just not enough proof to say one way or the other.  But they do not exist to murder people of the wrong skin color, they exist to fight crime

2.  No matter what the police do, crimes are always going to continue to happen.  The fact that crimes happen, does not mean cops do not do any good.  The cops are very limited in what they can do and that is a good thing.  We would not want a real police state(you might argue that is what we have, but ask the people that live in China and North Korea if we have a police state).   We have rights the cops are not allowed to violate and that limits the cops' ability to be able to stop crime.  Yeah, a small minority still violate our rights, but they can be taken to court and be dealt with.  Even if the cops were allowed to do whatever they want and we had no rights and we allowed them to set up a real police state, they still wouldn'd be able to 100% stop crime from happening.   There is only one what to do that: kill all humans.   Where there are humans, there is crime.

I don't get it.

The problem isn't that cops are violent racists, but rather the fact that violent racists want to be cops. Being a cop gives a person so much power and authority, and since cops that do wrong never seem to face consequences it's no wonder that so many violent power-hungry people want to be cops. I think that's why there are so many abusive cops in America, and I'm not saying they're a majority, but they do exist and shouldn't just be brushed off as a crazy few. To say that all cops are evil, or that it's a good thing when cops are killed is just ridiculous though, and only a Sith deals in absolutes. I won't deny that I get a little nervous whenever a cop drives by, but I've never been in a situation where I was singled out or humiliated by a cop for no reason. In fact, it's usually fake cops like airport security or regular security guards who are the ones always giving me crap for no reason...

Well I am going to say one more thing to DrCrow about Cops.  The more I think of this the angrier it makes me.  DrCrow you have a lot of nerve to say what you said about cops on today of all days.  911.   A day when a whole lot of cops lost their lives when the buildings fell.  They weren't in those buildings to murder people of the wrong skin color.  They were there to try to save lives, to try to help the wounded and help people get out of the buildings.   They went in there not just for white people, but to help all of the people in those buildings that needed help, and  a alot them lost their lives while trying to do so.  DrCrow, you should be ashamed of yourself.   Next time you want to make offensive comments like that about cops, please remember the cops, like those on 911, that risk their lives and die while trying  to help people.

You want me to respect cops then take away their free pass to murder anyone they want and kick all racist cops off of the force.

A cop who shoots someone should go on trial for murder the same as any other citizen,if they were treated the same as everyone else maybe they wouldn't be so quick to shoot people forty times for having the wrong skin colour but that is not what happens. Cops are never arrested for crimes and every time a cop shoots someone we are told there is no way to prove he did anything wrong so he is allowed to get away with murder.  If a normal citizen shoot someone charges are filed but nothing happens to cops who kill,half the time they don't even pretend to investigate. Cops murder people every day and you want me to worship them as heroes?  Fat chance.

Now give the citizens power over the cops and stop rewarding them for shooting people and then I will respect them.

Until cops live by the same laws as the rest of us I will not regard them as anything other then monster who prey on defenseless people.

I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we agree with you that cops should go on trial for murder when they do so, and I also agree with you that cops get away with a lot more than any normal citizen could dream of getting away with. The problem is, you lump all of the good cops in with the bad cops since they wear the same uniform. It's no different than saying all Christians are like the Westboro Baptist Church, or that all Muslims are like the terrorists, or that all football players are like Ray Rice

As far as I know, cops do live by the same laws that we do.

 If there really are good cops out there they must be in hiding. Truely good cops would rat out the bad cops and get them kicked out.  If Cops want me to respect them then they would clean things up and insist that cops be held to the same standard as your average citizen but that is not what happens. Cops cover for each other and the ones that are not racist are on the take and working for the gangs.  They are nothing but thugs with badges.  I'll respect cops once I start seeing them go to jail for their crimes and stop gunning people down in the streets.

Until then I will regard them as the enemy of every decent citizen who doesn't want to be murdered or shaken down on the streets.
