I wish the NFL would just tell the truth. Put the blame where it belongs.

We made the decision that the desire of the majority of ball-enthusiasts to see Rice play ball well would result in more money than having to deal with people being mad at him for punching his fiance.

Obviously, now that the video is out, you ball-enthusiasts are more sad over the punching than you are happy to see Rice continue to run very quickly with a ball. His services are no longer advantageous to our ball-moving-money-profit margin. We are sure you ball-enthusiasts understand."
