That looks to me like they just scanned and didn't do any of the post grading, TylerDurden389.

 I don't understand.

I'm assuming that the show was shot on film and I'm guessing that those heavily-blue-tinted shots were done in post-production to a video master in preparation for broadcast and that this was not done when the film was scanned in preparation for a home video release.

Ah ok. I got it. You're probably right, and quite frankly I hope you are, but there's been a lot of debate from me with others about whether or not Vice was shot on film. Considering it's budget AND it's notoriety, I'm pretty much convinced it was. However, people have told me it's possible it wasn't. The aspect ratio debate is the reason for this. "Where are the widescreen prints?" is the point that gets argued the most. There was an HD broadcast of the pilot some time ago, but the supposed "widescreen" was just them cropping to fill in the sides. I've checked the footage on youtube and compared.

However, some have told me that it's possible the show was shot on film WITH a 4:3 AR. I really, really hope they're wrong. This is one tv show that would benefit immensely from a widescreen presentation.
