I was wondering… I’ve yet to see any preservations of original theatrical audio tracks from the Nightmare On Elm Street Films. I know there’s a pretty concerted effort to preserve audio tracks here in this community that are not already available “officially…” It got me thinking… are the mono/stereo audio tracks from DVDs and blu-rays the actual original audio tracks? Or are they strictly mixdowns of the new surround sound mixes (much like The Terminator mono mix on DVD)?
