Other scenes, have a blue, or red tint to them. I doubt the original looked

like this when projected, or else we've been seeing a very different looking

film than this one.

Great news on the print! Is it possible to see video of some of the scenes with the blue/red tints? The underlined statement has me very intrigued!

This is a very subjective issue. Obviously the film has a type of fading that causes certain scenes to fade differently from other scenes.

From cinch:

color have faded and, depending on density of the stock, will have faded differently from shot to shot, note the scene when the power generator gets blown up.

Also from : http://www.afana.org/preservation.htm

Fuji Color:  Stable, but slightly shifts toward blue.  Made from the 1970s, its dates are coded between sprockets by year, not Eastman symbol. Older Fuji tends to turn purplish

Fujicolor has the tendency to degenerate into 'fujirot' which are colored dots that appear all over the emulsion. Cause is unknown but it might be either bad processing and storage or an inherent flaw with the stock itself since the same phenomenon is rare on Eastmancolor stock.

We are indeed seeing this happen.
