Info: Our projects released thread — Page 24

To those that like our work, we now have 3 projects done, I am trying yet again to decide where and how to upload and share, it seems some people do not really like the newsgroups and it seems almost all hate uploaded.net, I have to say I truly hate uploaded.net now as well, this premium account was very generously given to me for our releases, but it seems it really does suck, and now I am seeing our files getting deleted when I was assured this would not happen, so now I am stuck trying to figure out what to do yet again.

From some of the PM's and emails I have gotten it seems a lot of folks like Mega, so if this is the case is there anyone here that would like to get a premium account to this site for us? obviously you would have the name\password as well to take advantage of it but so would we, but 2 things I need to know will this site start deleting files and how many GB's worth of files can be stored there? we need something safe and secure, I really hate losing files for no reason and having people spend money to these file share sites only to have slow ass speeds and missing files, like uploaded.net.

So if anyone has any ideas or thoughts on this please let me know, and if anyone wants to help us out with a premium account for a nice site like Mega it seems, please PM me.

Thanks for your time

*edit, I said 3 projects, well actually 4 counting Nurse 2D Uncensored.

Yeah, I'm just going to get the ones you linked on Amazon and have them shipped to you.

Looking forward to the upcoming Team Blu releases. Are you still working on The Black Hole?

Yes and a bunch more, we just really could use some help in the audio dept. I just have to much to do to do all these LD PCM tracks lol, I could use some help here.

As I have pointed out, I'll take on this task, but need a final video edit (it doesn't have to be 1080p, just the correct 23.97 fps). I visually verify these tracks each step of the way. It's the only way to get perfectly lined up audio and video in my very humble opinion.

Yesterday I completed Drunken Master 2. There were over 500 sound edits. It was a massive undertaking and my version is actually more in sync than the original theatrical prints (Hong Kong films are all dubbed in post and the dialog is typically quite sloppy, with the sound effects only being slightly better).

Hey DJ!  I was wondering if I could get the links to the NOTLD 1990, if possible, and Maximum Overdrive (when available).  I would also like to send you a spindle of BD25's and BD-50's for all your efforts in the preservation of past and upcoming projects.  Please get back to me at your earliest convenience.  Thanks again buddy

I'd often thought of suggesting Mega several times over the past few  months but never did as it seemed you were content with the services you were currently using.  With that said... is there really a need to utilize a paid account for hosting?  Registering for a Free account provides the end user with 50gb of storage space.  All that's required is a valid e-mail address (which can easily be created on an ongoing basis), and links can be shared indefinitely.  My thought has always been, why not set up anonymous  storage lockers with corresponding e-mail addresses for each project?  So for instance, someone could create NOTLD1990@gmail.com and then register a mega account to it.  That locker could be used to house only the files associated with Night of the Living Dead 90.  Whether you choose to upload one giant .iso file or 45 smaller .rar files is up to the uploader.

In this fashion there is still some control over the projects themselves, and no one has to pay anything.  Each link provided would only link to that specific movie, rather than the complete Team Blu collection, and if someone were to decide to go back and make alterations or new versions, the old files could come down and the new files replace them in one easy to find location.  (Think how much easier it's be to get access to the Original Star Wars Trilogy versions released through this site if instead of making users hunt, they just provided the most up to date release inside their current storage locker and then just announced Version 2.0 is available now).

From my experience using Mega, the downloads are lightning quick and very straightforward.  Personally, I had no problem using uploded.net.  Yes it took me several days to download a project, but in the end the effort was more then worth the reward.  With that said, Mega should more or less eliminate virtually all problems.  You could also offer an incentive for people that want future releases, in that anyone that uploads and shares a project from you could be given access to new projects before anyone else.  Thereby eliminating your need to re-upload if such a situation would arrive.

Whatever you decide I'm happy to hear that you're at least looking into other distribution means, as I refuse to go the newsgroup route, and so that means I've only enjoyed Fright Night II and NOTLD '90 as those were the only 2 projects which I was aware of that had uploaded.net links.

Thanks for that HBK, I am still trying to figure this out though, I just do not like the 50 GB limit, this would only be 2 projects and I am not going to make a ton of emails and then try to keep track of them all lol, I just wish uploaded.net didn't start deleting files, I was assured this would not happen with a premium account but it did.

I have a lot ready to share and re upload but just need to sort this out.

I would like to add that Google files as been really nice for me as well.  Lightning download speeds too.

Do we have any members here from France, if so would you like to hook me up with this?

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Nurse-3D-Blu-ray/99530/

if so I am sure we could work something out, I actually want to get the German SteelBook as well when it releases lol, but I think I have a connection for this one, just not the France Steel.

Not sure we need a connection. It can be ordered directly from amazon.fr and ends up being about $50 shipped to the states.

As jimjimmyjones said, amazon.fr ships internationally and the site is pretty easy to navigate if you're familiar with the US site, same goes for the amazon.de site.  I ordered the Army of Darkness sets from those sites without a problem.  They even use the same login as the US site so you don't have to create a new account.

But the point is if I can do trades then this will cost me nothing right? I would rather trade to people that want to trade.

I received my copy of Maximum Overdrive yesterday. This was my most anticipated TeamBlu release thus far for me and it has not disappointed!!!! I have yet to watch the entire film, but I reviewed everything.

When I started a while ago brain storming for this project I hit a lot of road blocks (pun intended) menu wise. Do I go retro? Flashy? Simple? etc. I tried a variety of different things to try and come up with something that reflects the feel of the film. Ultimately, we decided to go with a main motion menu with chains and metal plates that house the title, buttons, features etc. and this turned out phenomenal!!! My initial idea and design for this was taken by the team and tweaked to be something I couldn't imagine! When the menu, background video and the thumping bass and drum opening of Who Made Who starts up you know you are in for one hell of a ride with this disc!!!!
With the special features, the team has assembled an outstanding collection. We have the theatrical trailer hosted by the man himself Stephen King. The music of AC/DC, which is individual tracks that DJ expertly put to their respective scenes from the film. Up next is an audio only interview with the Young brothers talking about how they came to meet Stephen King. When you listen to this, there is a slideshow of various posters, international posters, VHS covers, etc to view. Rounding out the SP is a Fangoria issue scan which looks beautiful and very easy to read on screen (I have yet to read it). What DJ and the others were able to pull together for special features on a movie that had, really, nothing out there, is mind blowing!!
A few weeks ago I watched Maximum Overdrive on netflix and after watching this disc for just a few minutes last night, I can honestly say that the PQ on this blows netflix out of the water!!!! Everything is crisp and clear. On the audio front, what can I say, I am a sucker for DD5.1 and it's booming!
I don't have any pictures of the overall package, but I will update this post when I do.
Final words - If you are a fan of this movie, you NEED this release!! Bottom line!!

Apologies, I was under the impression that maybe you felt it was not available to obtain in the states as some are.

I got the discs from Dark Jedi a few days ago.  I haven't had the time to view most of them yet but I did check out the Maximum Overdrive disc.  It's a really nice package.  The menus work well with animation that doesn't bog down the interface and the bonus features are really interesting.

The scenes I sampled from the movie looked great overall though there were definitely some limitations in the source materials that were available.  Team Blu did a really good job though.  This one is definitely worth getting.  I liked the feature that lets you view segments of the movie with only the AC-DC music.  It was a nice alternative to an isolated score.

Hey all, totally new here.  Joined when I saw "Team Blu" had created a preserved Fright Night Part II Blu-Ray…and now here I am, reading about Lake Placid 3 and 4 Blu-rays (I had no idea anyone cared about these but me) and True Lies and Maximum Overdrive and all sorts of things.

24 pages is a lot, and I'm getting confused by the long lists of films that Team Blu has supposedly released but then I see later it looks like they haven't all been finished.

Would someone mind giving me a rundown?

What's done?  What's coming?  How do I get download links, or, better yet, full packages?

HOW CAN I HELP?

Thanks.

First I need to apologize to Dark Jedi and the rest of Team Blu. I received some releases from them some time ago and haven't posted a review as yet.

My health has been a challenge lately. Today I didn't feel like crap so I can finally do some justice for Team Blu. Team Blu has got to be the most under rated, under appreciated, most talented guys to ever come along. There is nothing left between their releases and retail. You cannot tell the them apart. They are THAT GOOD.
From the outside packaging, to the movies and menus on disc.

I received Lake Placid 3 & 4 and Maximum Overdrive in the mail. All perfect. I haven't watched MO all the way through yet but I did watch both Lake Placid blus and had a fun time doing it.

Here are some pics.

There was even movie post cards on very thick poster board stock and a movie poster from Maximum Overdrive...crazy good.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

This place sucks. Everybody in this forum should be falling all over themselves for a Team Blu release, instead all I hear is crickets...

I would love to see the MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE disc but I must've missed the post explaining how to obtain it.

Last I recall, DJ was still trying to determine how to make these available online. I've had massive problems obtaining Team Blu's stuff from filehosts in the past (despite paying for a premium account) but myspleen came to the rescue in the end.

But ever since Team Blu's releases were all torn down from myspleen, it seems they've become the privilege of a select few.

I'd gladly fall over some of these releases - if I could only get close to them!

Agreed. As soon as DJ makes a decision, I will have to pursue them for myself !

Plus one. I would VERY much like to get hold of "Maximum Overdrive". What an impressive looking set!

It's not exactly easy to get them.

Exactly! While the full packages look amazing and very professional in the screenshots, and many of us would love to have them sitting on our shelves, it's not like we can just place an order. And as far as downloads go, it's been hit or miss finding them.

Sadly, I missed out on the opportunity to get any of the earlier Team Blu releases. It would be great if there was a way to easily "trade" for copies of any full release, old or new.

could somebody please upload the team blue releases to spleen. Or is there a place they are already available. I like others here read about these fantastic projects but have only been able to find the recent star wars GOUT and SE-97.

They were pulled. It's usually not a good idea to re-upload something that was pulled.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!
