You're welcome :)
You're welcome :)
Thank you for this fantastic release! A dream come true. Many thanks to Harmy and Laserschwert.
I hope TESB and RotJ will be released in such a perfect version someday, too.
Yes they will.
Wuhu, now I found this thread and I'm very happy to hear, that your work is done :)
I'm very excited about your result... :) The screens looks awesome
Laserschwert, do you plan a germanised version of Harmys Respecialized Edition 97?
Nope... I don't like the SE enough to do this ;)
Understandable. All the same, it's a pity. ;)
Yeah, Laser, thank you for finally completing it! Really nice work.
Where can I find the Bluray ISO of this Despecialized Edition 2.5?
There's no Blu-ray (and right now I'm not sure if there will be), but I've send you a PM on how to create one from the MKV.
Really nice work! Can anyone tell me about the main differences between the three stereo audio tracks? I understand that the first one is closest to the audio from the original theatrical release of the film, but in what way do the Laserdisc tracks differ from that one (apart from audio quality)?
“I want to watch Empire on my refrigerator’s LCD screen but listen to the Austrailan audio thru my USB phonograph setup and it worked on the other two movies” -yoda-sama
I'm not exactly sure about the differences between the GOUT and the SilverScreen mixes, but the THX mix is a completely different mix, with much stronger bass and some timing changes when it comes to sound effects and R2's and 3PO's lines.
Does anyone here have the original uncorrected German GOUT audio? (with missing dialogue, etc) I'm trying to sort out a mystery with some of the other dubs and think it could maybe help.
EDIT: Thanks, got it.
For what it's worth, I put together a German Krieg der Sterne mix for my own personal collection, which is a little different than any of the other mixes available here. It's derived from the 1978 2.0 theatrical mix (contains all of the dialogue fixes), but it includes only audio that was present in both the 1993 Silver Screen audio AND the 1995 THX audio. So the changes are: music during trash compactor scene removed, clunking sound when Ben picks up the blast helmet removed, background announcements in Death Star corridor added. The announcements were difficult because there's a big glitch there in the 1995 audio, and the 1993 audio doesn't mix well with the GOUT, but I think it ended up OK.
Mostly, I made this because I just don't like the music during the trash compactor scene ;)
PM me if you're interested.
@Laserschwert
Since you are working on a german DeEd for "Das Imperium schlägt zurück", I just wanted to ask, if you correct the misspelling of "zurück" in the german crawl?
Or was this misspelling only present on the home theater releases?
No, I won't correct that... that spelling error was part of the theatrical version and only fixed in the SE (while the THX version and everything since the 2004 DVD got newly created crawls anyway).
Hm. Not sure if I like that.
I know you want to replicate the theatrical cut as close as possible. But the correction of the spelling error was one of the few things they did right with the SE.
It doesn't matter if you or me likes it... it's the Despecialized Edition, remember? ;)
Than make it "DeSpecializedExceptOfTheCrawlEdition" :D
I'll make an extra version just for you.
Lovely ;)
where can i find the german cover for this edition? :))
I've added download links for the covers to the opening post.
Hello. I can't send you an PM. Please can I have the Download link for this?
Please someone help me.
Ich wollte es meinem Bruder zu Weihnachten schenken mit Cover in ner Hülle.
Die Arbiet die ihr da reingesteckt habt is einfach unfassbar!
Bitte ein link per PM wäre echt super!
Danke
Any chance for a despecialized German TESB, now that 2.0 is out? Or do you want to wait for 2.5? :)
(Ok, not much to localize there except for the textcrawl...)
