I stand corrected. Allow me to restate:

I've not seen a Doctor's first episode that I've been impressed with. As in, none of the 3 I've seen.

I thought the villain was a bit lightweight but The Eleventh Hour was the best incarnation primer I've seen all the way through, what we can see of Power of the Daleks works most impressively especially considering the weirdness of the concept being played out for the first time.
