Most guys that act tough do so out of low self-esteem in the first place - he's only showing that he's able to deal with his feelings and take the high road "I won't stand in the way" instead of the typical tough-guy "Meh, I didn't care about you anyway..."

By being jealous, it shows he's matured... As odd as that sounds...

I've got no problem with Han showing his feelings, it's that he's already done that in ESB and he and Leia have already confessed love for each other. Han shouldn't be worried that Luke is gonna get the girl. Han already has her.
ROTJ should have shown them as a new couple rather than acting like they didn't fall in love in the previous film.
