I wouldn't mind seeing the effort, at least if they do it right and don't try to fill it full of special effects, stupid stuff (nuked refrigerator), and ignorant plots (it's the aliens!). A return to old school live action and a good plot would be the absolute cornerstone of getting a new Indy who has a future.

I think Chris Pratt would do the role justice, having seen his work in GotG, I was highly impressed with his work. The part where he was dismayed at the guys not knowing who Star-Lord was, he seemed to have perfect timing and attitude as you'd see in any Indiana Jones flick. I could easily see him "Indiana Jones, guys! Legendary Professor and archeologist? Forget it!"

I think he'd easily fit into the role of Indy as we remember the great adventurer, again though, it all depends on the material and the implementation.
