Rogue Squadron Pilot names in the original trilogy

I am working on a costume idea with 2 friends for which we need to be rogue squadron pilots. It is going to be very fun and hopefully something different. For this project we need 3 pilot names and call signs. We want them to be memorable names from the movies but also as authentic as possible. Basically we want as many people as possible to recognize the names from the films while staying true to the films and not having to explain our choices to the hard core Star Wars fans.

Any Suggestions?

Wedge, Biggs, Porkins

Were Biggs and Porkins members of Rogue Squadron?

We were going with Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles for the first 2.

It doesn't look like you're going to have any luck finding an iconic third name though. If you're looking for name recognition, you're probably stuck with either Wes Janson or Dak Ralter, who were Wedge's and Luke's gunners respectively during the Battle of Hoth. Both are mentioned by name in ESB.

The Hoth gunners are a good thought and they fit the theme of our costume idea as well.

We're only using last names for the costumes so I have narrowed it down to these possabilities:

Definate:

Antilles (Wedge - Rogue 1)

Skywalker (Luke - Rogue 5/Rogue 1))

Possabilities:

Darklighter (Biggs - Red 3; Gavin - Rogue 5/Rogue 1)

Ralter (Dak - Rogue#)

Janson (Wes - Rogue#)

Porkins (Jek - Red 6)
