I'm in the 98th global percentile for skepticism and the 99.99th percentile for pessimism, but thinking about it in the terms of the rumor, it would actually make a lot of sense to release the OT in the run-up to the new one.

It's virtually certain that there will be a blu-ray double-dip promotional tie-in, and from EVERYTHING that has leaked so far, the "Ep. VII" production team is really reviving the vintage roots of the franchise. Releasing the OT would serve as a perfect prelude to dovetail into a release of the continuation story...

I don't know. There might be something to this one...

But no matter what, I expect the mono mix will get shafted.
