Sure the battle in Jedi wasn't the final one, but it was the decisive one. In thirty years the Rebels should have finished the job.

That the Empire still seems to be around does take away from the Rebel victory in RotJ. Feels like a retcon to me to continue the story.

I don't mind Star Wars having ongoing stories. I just think going this direction is the wrong way. Its a big galaxy. I was hoping for different antagonists.
